We started Sauce Essentials with one frustration: the cannabis aisle is full of products that don't tell you what's actually inside. We built a brand around the opposite — every batch lab-tested, every package verifier-coded, every claim backed by an independent COA.

Sauce Essentials was built in California by people who'd seen too many friends end up with knock-off pens, mystery oils, and packaging that didn't match the lab on the label. The 2019 EVALI outbreak — caused by Vitamin E acetate cut into unregulated cartridges — killed 68 people and hospitalized thousands. That wasn't a fluke. That's what happens when nobody's checking.
Our answer wasn't louder marketing. It was building the verification system into the product. Every Sauce package ships with a one-time silver scratch code. Every batch passes through an independent state-licensed lab before it ever reaches a shelf. Every batch is backed by an independent COA — public library launching soon. If you can't trust the chain, you can't trust the product.

The wake-up
68 people died from counterfeit vape carts cut with Vitamin E acetate. Thousands more were hospitalized. The grey market had a body count — and nobody was checking what was actually in the cartridge.

One-time scratch-off codes on every product, hashed and stored server-side. If a code's been verified before, you know. We share counterfeit reports with state regulators.
